Cindy began her riding career at age 11 as a student of Hi Acre Riding School under the instruction and guidance of Sally Dawson. Cindy demonstrated early talent in the hunt seat riding rising by her teen years to become an accomplished competitor in the are Hunter Show rings and Show Jumping. Shows included B-rated shows at Rolling Rock, Monarty, Qinton, North Park and Penn State University. Cindy trained with Chuck Waters, Brian Jones, Tammy Nalavecko, Tammy Komarinski, and Brian Canter.

Cindy has now been teaching for 22 years and was the manager of Graystone Equestrian Center, before she returned to us here at Hi Acre Stables. Her teaching focus remains, although is not exclusive to, showing young riders “the ropes” in Hunt Seat riding and the area show world. Of note, Cindy has successfully coached 3 students to Year End High Point Awards and accompanied another young rider to 4H State Level Competition.

Cindy’s current personal riding interest has shifted from the jumping ring to the dressage arena after acquiring her current Second Level dressage horse, “Shadow.”
